Provide application support for Trade Processing Applications used by Global Markets Operations staff and other operation functions of the bank.
Support Trade Processing applications for Global Markets Operations users (Mainly Gloss)
Monitor scheduled jobs relating to supported applications and services
Ensure quality and accuracy of outputs to downstream and external systems
Investigate issues and report to vendors / regional & global support teams for stabilizing and improving the systems
Analyze the local business IT Reeds to provide tools and solution to comply with their requirements
Provide development and analysis for simple solutions that can be handled locally / internally
Manage incidents, problems and changes accordingly to the AP standards
Follow and understand the latest changes/issues on the regional and global systems
Minimize failures and ensure adequate performance and operation of the systems by continuously monitoring the performance/ operation, quickly diagnose and address any problems
Conduct system Quality Assurance Testing and assist in User Acceptance test perform deployment or upgrade of mission critical applications and systems
Provide system and process documentation.
Propose and participate to the constant effort to improve the systems
Direct interaction with the users, mainly Operations (Back and Middle office)
Understand users' needs and provide propose feasible and quick solutions to the users
Build a good relationship with the users and provide regular updates to the users located in Japan
Working closely with regional and Global IT teams.
Follow ITIL Application Support methodology to carry out incident and system change management procedures
Manage and track daily production problems;
Ensure effective and timely resolution and communications to the client
Coordinate with developer teams to report and follow through bug fixing
Direct contribution to operational permanent control framework
Take care of knowledge sharing with the global team
Conduct system Quality Assurance Testing and assist In User Acceptance test
perform deployment or upgrade of mission critical applications and systems Adhere to document procedural standards

Early Support Shift - Perform ad hoc weekend work (DR dritt week end maintenance and releases), on a rotation basis

Development: Bash, Python, lava, SQU(Advanced), Excel VBA
Platform: Windows and Linux Tools: Geneos, Autosys, ServiceNow Excel JIRA
Functional concept: Japanese Settlement systems, payment chain life cycle . Technologies: Databases (Sybase, Oracle & MSSql), Network (basic knowledge)

Strong desire to investigate and resolve issues in the short term (workaround / setting up procedures) and longer term (participate to definition of permanent solutions)

Bachelor's degree or higher
5+ years of work experience in Application support in an Investment Bank
Experience in supporting Japan settlement related system (i.e. ISTARJSCC,Gloss)
Fluent in English (mandatory)
Fluent in Japanese (highly recommended but not mandatory)
